Well, my plans for an Olympic project totally fell through!!!!! So, instead of starting and finishing a new project I am attempting to stitch on things that are close to done! Last night I pulled this beauty out of the stash and it is just a blast to stitch on!!!!
This is Liberty Belles by Little House Needleworks. For a minute I was stitching on this and was kind of mad because these colonial women were not allowed to vote at the time that is depicted here. (Can you even imagine women not being allowed to vote???) So, I decided to stitch these women and pretend they are suffragettes!!!! Now I really love this project.
I finished the stitching on Winter Night's Drum by Blackbird Designs!!! I used the called for thread. Instead of putting my name on the drum I put my Grandma's name!!! Cool!
This is 1776 by Prairie Moon. Love it!!! It is semi-close to a finish.
Having lots of fun watching the Olympics and stitching!!! Hope you are too!

Your Wips all look great. I have enjoyed stitching along with the Olympics! However, I made no special goal.
You have quite a great few things going, Laura. All of them are cute and you make me want to stitch some smalls myself :-)
Your WIPs are looking good, Laura! My favorite is the 1776.
Enjoy the rest of the Olympics!

You are making great progress! I think we should award you your own gold medal!
Laura, I love all of your pieces. I think that it's a great idea putting your grandmothers name on the drum and 1776 is wonderful. Hope to see it tomorrow night.

Great designs! Looks like you will have some finishes soon!
Beautiful pieces. What a great idea to finish some of these lovelies off as Olympic effort. :)
Wins gold for me...they are just gorgeous.
I like your change of plans. All your projects are lovely.
I think your change of plans is a good one! Love all the projects you're working on, both finished and close to finished.
Fun projects!!!!!
You've been busy working on some beautiful projects Laura! Hope you bring them tonight for show-n-tell:))
See you later -- CAN NOT WAIT!!!
I like your patriotic stitching Laura and your thoughts on the colonial women! We can thank all of our predecessors for the freedoms we enjoy today (I only wish women all over the world had the same freedoms we do). I hadn't seen that Prairie Moon pattern, reminds me of Liberty by BOAF which I really need to stitch!
Lovely stitching! My carefully laid plans usually fall through too, but it's all part of the fun :-)
You have some awesome things in progress, Laura! I love them all, and can't wait to see them finished!! You go, girl!
Have a great week!!!
Oh I think how you handled things for your Olympic Project (s) is perfect!! The Olympics ARE about determination and the attempts at success and look at all that you pulled out and accomplished!!! Go Team Laura!!! You did well!
Your stitching looks great.....and just think how many more projects you will have done by the end of the games.......I've been doing th same, but find that I get soooooo involved with cheering the althetes on I'm NOT stitching!!!!! Good for you for managing BOTH!!!!!!!!
Omigosh, I did the same thing!! I gave up on my initial plan to start and finish a new project. Instead, I dug out 2 WIP's to try to get them finished by the end of the Olympics - This Too Shall Pass and SanMan's 4 Season Fatties. You're doing great with your WIP's! I love the Prairie Moon piece - I might have to add that to my wish list.

Laura, great little projects to stitch during Olympics. I had to chuckle when I saw your LHN ladies...don't forget to add the poles to the flags. I had mine all finished and saw that I left them off...:) pam in iowa
Lovely projects, and a great idea to work on current WIPs since you couldn't start your planned for project. I focused on one WIP for the first 2/3 of the Olympics, then started something new for the giveaway I'm having.
Laura ~ you get a gold medal in my book! You just entered multiple events (-:
