Stitching at Karin's House
Before we started stitching we had show and tell! Karin has just completed her very first quilt!
Isn't it a beauty!!!!!!! Love the colors she chose and she did such a beautiful sewing job!!!
Karin finished the La D Da rabbit and made it into a pillow!!!! It goes perfectly with the chair it is sitting on!
Brenda worked on two projects. Above, she had a start on this darling little bird.
And she was working on this great Blackbird Designs stitch. Just gorgeous!
This is Ann Grimshaw by The Scarlett Letter. I had recently seen this on Instagram and Karin was kind enough to show us her progress thus far on this sampler. I am on a hunt for this one now!!! Love it!!!
Patti was also working on the La D Da rabbit!!! I love how it pops right off the fabric!
Linda got a new Vera Bag and we were all in love with it! It stands up so nicely.
Teresa finished this little prim keepsake from Notforgotten Farm. I think we can all agree that the sentiment that she stitched is so true!!!!!!!!

A Chance Meeting
Did you feel the tremors yesterday in stitching blogland??? Two stitching bloggers met by chance!
I went to Inspired Needle on a lark yesterday. I was on my way to meet some friends and had one hour before I needed to be there. I also needed a skein of thread and a piece of fabric. So, I made a rare Saturday morning pit stop at Inspired Needle.
I walked in and received my usual standard greeting of "Hello, Ms. Duet" by the lovely Cathy R., owner and operator of Inspired Needle. There was another shopper in the store who turned and said, "Laura?"
This other shopper turned out to be none other than Jeanne of Willow Tree Stitcher who lives in Arizona!!!! She was on her way from a family visit in Illinois to Midway Airport and had some time before her flight so she stopped by to check out Inspired Needle for the first time!!!!!
What a wonderful coincidence!!!!!! I wish I had been able to stay longer to look at charts and talk stitching!!!! Jeanne, it was wonderful to meet you and I hope your trip home was uneventful. It sure made my day to meet you!!!
