Attention lovers of beauty......

Run, don't walk, to the bookstore to get these two special publications from Somerset! First up is Somerset in Love. I cannot tell you how great this magazine is for fans of altered art, stamping, vintage ephemera, and just plain old eye candy! I am lucky enough to know several of the artists in this magazine and I am thrilled for them. In fact, one of the artists, Heather Simpson-Bluhm, is the genius behind my blog banner. Marilyn Healy started the collaborative round robin that is the subject of this special issue. I love her artwork. I was lucky enough to participate in her Alphabetica round robin which was such fun. Their work is so gorgeous and absolutely stunning. If you liked the publication "True Colors" then you will love this too.
Right next to Somerset in Love was this eye-catching magazine, Art Journaling. The cover is unmistakably the work of Pam Garrison who is a genius. Lots of inspiration in here folks!

It was the perfect capper on a Friday evening to find these magazines at the store. Mike and I had to run out for toilet paper (!) and so we also managed to squeeze in my 15th time looking at Barnes and Noble for Somerset in Love. Finally, it was there! Then we topped off the evening with my most favorite meal, Taco Bell!!! Following my burritos, I was up to bed to page through these magazines and dream about creating such beauty.

Ahh such bliss- sounds like the perfect evening to me (including Taco Bell!). How funny~ I JUST ordered about 3 different Somerset publications- but I'm not sure which ones I did (I can't pull up the receipts)- although Art Journaling was the one I wanted but have no clue if I did. I am notorious for buying doubles of stuff (lol) so I will send it to you if I did. Our Borders carries some Somerset but I have been in there complaining twice in one week about the lack of some magazines (they are gonna love me). Where do you find yours? Barnes and Noble? I hate having to order them online! have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Laura,
I'm a fellow Chicagoian who has not been able to find the LOVE! You've given me hope...Now if I can just get some dogs and a sled, I'll be in business! I enjoy your blog and also have an affection for Red Lead!

I love this line of magazines. We stock so many (at Barnes & Noble) and they are great eye-candy!

Mmmm, Taco Bell burritos. Might have to break down and get those for dinner tomorrow night. Tonight is honey-lemon baked chicken with mushrooms and shallots.

Fabulous finds! When I get to the store, those two will go in my cart! I love the Somerset things -- simply elegant and beautiful design. Isn't it fun when you KNOW people in them?!

I've got Art Journaling but I must go back for Sommerset In Love. Don't you just die over their publications?
