My friend Pat finished her Mary Peacock sampler!!!! Isn't it gorgeous!!!!!??? What a labor of love this was. These photographs were taken by Pat yesterday upon completion of this massive work. We also have the extra added treat of seeing her beautiful collection of smalls. Pat's home is just gorgeous and Mary Peacock is going to look perfect there!
This is what Pat said on her Instagram post about stitching Mary Peacock: "For some reason I am drawn to these Quaker samplers. The original was stitched at the Ackworth School, a Quaker School in England. I don't know much about Quakers but I find their needlework to be very peaceful."
Peaceful needlework. That is such a wonderful image. Congratulations Pat. What a wonderful finish!!!

Wow! I have this chart waiting to be stitched and I love the calming colours your friend has chosen. I think it will be quite a while before I get round to stitching it but looking at your friends certainly has me tempted! Thank you for sharing. Ali x

beautiful finish and lovely smalls - congrats to Pat! I have Mary Peacock hiding somewhere in the forgotten toys pile, might have to look her or one of the other Ackworth girls up for summer stitching.
