There is just something about Karin's stitching and choices of projects that makes me swoon. I think part of it is that she is able to stitch with ease on 40 count. I think everything looks better on 40 count......but I just can't swing it.
Anyway, here are Karin's 12 picks from her stash to concentrate on this year. First up, above, is An Anonymous Sampler. Am I correct, the designer is Chartmakers? I am not familiar with them, but if this design is any indication I need to do some research on them.
Next up is Noel by BBD.
I am totally hepped up by this one. Dutch Tile 1 by The Needle's Content. Wow!!!!
Birds of a Feather Mystery Sampler by With Thy Needle and Thread.
Bloom. I need to know the designer and what magazine this is in for someone who left a comment. Does anyone know? Karin is one of three of my friends who has this in her pile of 12. It is really a cool piece.
May I chime in again with my love for this project??? Wow! I bought the chart immediately after seeing Karin's project. 1881 Sampler Reproduction by Primitive Needleworks.
Dutch Band Sampler. This is another magazine chart.
Happy 4th from Threadwork Primitives. If you are not familiar with this designer please Google her. She has so many great designs!
Quaker Medallion Sampler by C Street Samplerworks.
The colors! The design! Amazing! Ruth Bacheler 1717. This is a going to be a masterpiece!!!!
Sampler Folk from Carriage House Samplings. I have always loved this chart! I have a start on it too. Isn't it fab??
Sweet Liberty by The Marking Sampler. Karin is going to do it on a piece of fabric that many of us have gone nuts over for patriotic pieces. It is called Heroic.
I can't wait to see the progress on these lovely picks!!! Aren't they amazing??

I love all the photos you've been posting of everyone's 12s. Yours, Patti's, Karin's--all wonderful, especially since they include out of ordinary projects!
Bloom Pincushion is by M Designs and was in the March/April 2011 issue of Just Cross Stitch.
Chartmakers is an earlier company of Carriage House Samplings' designer, Kathy Barrick.
Thanks for sharing Karin's "12". I love seeing the variety of projects.

Oh fun to see them all together!! Now I have to start working on them:-)
All stitches are wonderful!
Various colors and linen are beautiful!
What fantastic pieces!! Karin has such great taste in projects!
Hi Laura -
I'm so inspired by your stitching group. Love the photos you post and the info. you give, i.e. the chart name, linen & thread used. Thank you.
I'm very interested in the the square 'hoop' many of you are using - the one in the 'Dutch Tile 1' photo. I've googled but can't find it anywhere. Does it have a name/company associated with it?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Gorgeous!!! Just lovely! I think Chartmakers wasn't just Kathy Barrick. It was a company with both CHS and Goode Huswife in it. Then they split up and formed their own companies. I'm enjoying this seeing everyone's WIPs! (Hi Karin!)
It is great seeing everyone's projects. I certainly have added a few patterns to my own list now! I also love that 1881 sampler, so beautiful!
@Faye... those hoops are 'q-snaps'. I see your email is Bethel.edu, is that Bethel CT?
Happy Stitching!
All gorgeous projects!!!!!
Thanks Laura for featuring our 12 projects- we sure are an industrious group, aren't we?! Since the photo shoot- I finished the Joy ornament and am diligently wrking on the reindeer Winter Sampler! It is such a great feeling to be finishing some things up- finally! All the other projects you posted are swoon-worthy for sure!!!
What gorgeous projects you're all choosing - it will be great to follow you lot.

Oh my goodness! What a wonderful plethora of preojects!! That one on black is stunning!
Margaret correctly identified Chartmarkers. Sadly, any of these charts are very hard to obtain. :(
Wow, these are awesome. I'd be happy stitching any one of them!
gorgeous things on Karin's list - LOVE that heroic fabric - I simply must have some LOL! Ruth bacheler by SL is another one I must add to my "wish list" - this is fun Laura but I think you are killing my budget. Mel
