I came across this picture on Pinterest tonight. It makes me wish that I had started stitching samplers when I was 12 years old and just kept stitching them and that my stairway looked like this!!!!! Rats!
I hear you, Laura! I found this on Pinterest too and wished the very same thing. But it's never too late so let's get our needles hot and stitch some samplers!
That is amazing!! Maybe if we put all the samplers we have stitched so far in our lives, we might come 1/4- 1/2 way??? The answer is then, start stitching faster!!! LOL. Thank you for sharing this picture :)
Wow, and I thought I had a lot of samplers going up my stairs!! However, as the daughter of a fireman, I'm bothered to distraction by the lovely objects on those stairs--a real hazard in case of fire for the occupants and the rescuers don't you know. I'm the product of monthly and surprise fire drills--see Daddy, I paid attention :)
What a beautiful display of this Stitcher's handiwork! I love all the antiques lining the stairway as well. This is really motivation to stop starting new projects and focus on finishing the kazillion WIP's I have here. Thanks for sharing this.
At first glance my Husband thought it was our staircase...a few different samplers, but some the same. Be brave....I did not start early, but persevered, choosing only those that touched my heart, which accounts for so many waiting to be accomplished. In relatively little time, you will have built a collection worthy of your aspirations.
Gorgeous samplers - wow. I wish I had that many to frame and hang -LOL. Thank you for sharing and how wonderful that you got to meet a friend blogger too:) love Annette

Yes, this is exactly what I would do, right down to the little objects on the stairs!

I agree!!! Wish I had done that too. Plus I get distracted by seasonal stuff and that hurts the sampler collection!
Lovely. My MIL's staircase is very similar and she has her wall full of stitching and family pics too.
Ahh beautiful, I console myself however by thinking of all the dusting they must have to do..... Not that Iam green with envy or anything lol
Sigh, absolutely gorgeous
Awesome!!!
What an inspiration
