I was the happiest gal last weekend! Tomorrow's Heirlooms put on a retreat with the wonderful designers Paulette Stewart of Plum Street Samplers and Jeannette Douglas. The retreat was held at a lovely hotel near my house and was from Friday night through Sunday noon. I really can't accurately describe how wonderful it was. I got to hang out with these great designers, Kim and Pam who own Tomorrow's Heirlooms, my stitching peeps, and many new friends!!!!!!! The only downside was that I did not take enough pictures. I am going to cobble together pictures that my peeps took and give you a peek at the fun.
So, above are Paulette and Jeannette. They are both fabulous designers...that really goes without saying, but the most special thing about them is that they are both so kind and friendly!!!! They make everyone feel so special. I just think the world of them both!!!!
First up was Paulette's Sampler designed for the weekend. The theme of the weekend was Autumn. I love this sampler! Especially the deer!!! And the sentiment is perfect.
In the afternoon we received Jeannette's project. It came with all the ingredients to make these stitched pieces to fit this wonderful box. Talk about Autumn gorgeousness!
This is a picture of one of the highlights of the week! Dinner with friends old and new at Santa Fe Restaurant in Glen Ellyn, IL. Great Mexican food. Okay, what is so super great about this picture is the mix of great people at the table!!!! We were so lucky to meet new friends from Massachusetts and Colorado. We met Nataly and Deborah from Massachusetts. We were reacquainted with Katrina and Natalya from Colorado. We were like immediate peas in a pod. So much in common and it was so much fun to talk stitching with each other. Love Fest!!!!
Here we are back at the hotel spending the evening stitching and looking over each other's Instagram feeds. We sure wish we all lived closer to each other. I often dream about all my stitching friends living in the same town. Can you imagine how wonderful weekly stitching evenings would be??? This picture is of Nataly, Deborah, myself, Kellie and Patti's leg!
I met another long-time internet buddy!!!!! This is Sharon from Sharon Cross-Stitch Obsession!
It was just wonderful to meet in person and give each other a hug. We have been cross-enabling each other!!!
Paulette and Jeanette collaborated on the design for Sunday. It is a very dear two-sided pin cushion. Here is the side that Paulette designed.
Here is the side that Jeanette designed. This is one adorable project!
It was a beyond wonderful weekend!!!!! Thanks to all my friends for making it so special!!!!

Oh, Laura, the pics aren't showing. Glad you had a great time & met some new friends too.
That sounds like the perfect way to spend a week-end! What lovely projects and all the nice people just made it that much better.
Fantastic! Over half the pictures do not show up Laura. If you get more, by all means, show them! ;)
I'm not seeing the pictures either.
Sounds like a fabulous weekend, but I want to see all the pictures (many are missing).
