Dina's Alphabetica Journal

Here are the entries into Dina's Alphabetica Journal from Jane. Dina's theme was poetry. Jane found this dear little rhyming verse in a children's book and did the pages you see above and below. Genius as usual!

Here are Trish's pages for Dina's journal. I love the little illustrations she included above. The poem she selected is very odd and the lines from grammar textbooks just go perfectly, as does the picture of the boys below!

I found a poem on line about music. It expresses my exact feelings on the subject!!!
Hope Dina likes our pages! Beth of Seaside Dreamer is working on this journal now.

You should seriously take some time and realize that you seem to be consumed with buying this, getting that, and going on "toots"--do you have any substance? Try reading the blog "A Day Late and a Dollar Short" (through Crazy Aunt Perl's blog). This poor woman is facing reality and I seriously think you need a reality check. It must be nice to not have any worries and be able to throw around time and money. We never seem to hear much about your family--just stamps and friends.

Okay...what was the saying back in Kindergarten? If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. Well this is most applicable here! For those of us who know you, the comment from "Anonymous" is severly disturbing since it is so not true. You have substance and happen to be one of the nicest, most generous and down to earth sincere sweethearts there ever was!!! So what if tooting and buying stuff makes you happy... - what a Debbie Downer - You know we think you're the best and your blog is fine just the way it is!!!

Well, I have been perusing your blog since it's new to me and I wanted to comment on this lovely round robin you are participating in. Such pretty pages. Put a smile on my face. I happened to notice the "anonymous" comment and was struck by it for a couple of reasons. First, I find it offensive that someone can be so self-righteous and wishing to appear convicted when they have not the courage to identify themselves. It's that cowardice which nullifies their comment. Second, I'm truly chuckling at how every single one of us artist bloggers would disappoint this person! We are all consumed with "buying this....getting that" LOL. I just think most of us prefer to make our blogs happy places. It's not that we haven't all suffered in our lives it's just that we prefer to put our smiles on and find the good in life rather than dwelling on the bad. I've watched 2 nieces die....one at 12 and one at 16. That's no picnic. I've suffered the loss of two of my dearest friends both in their early twenties. No joy ride. My mother died in my arms when I was 24-years-old. She was my entire life and I've mourned that loss each and every day of my life and I'm now 45. I live daily with constant and chronic upper back pain. My doctors do the best they can for me, but the pain never stops. You'd know none of this from reading my blog and, believe me, the things I've listed are a drop in the bucket of the things I've endured. My point is, don't go around judging others when you don't have all the facts. Most of the artists' blogs are geared to bring joy because our hearts are full of joy no matter how many times life has knocked us down.
I'm sure "anonymous" will never read my words here, but I feel better having said them.
