A Good Day

The sun is shining here.
I woke up with a rare case of energy, so I started to straighten up around the house. Mike and I are going to watch the Cubs game and then maybe go see Ironman. We are also planning on taking some books to the used book store and maybe a trip to Barnes and Noble!
Of course, we are also enjoying the company of our furry children, Buddy and Pal.
And of course, I will be getting a nap in!!! Love the weekend!

The illustrations from this book come from one of my finds in Snohomosh, Washington. I found three books that were published when I was little. The illustrations seem so familiar to me! And best of all, they were only $1 each!! Lucky!

Laura,
I have some greeting cards that I think you would like (vintage "new" with orginal envelopes). Most are birthday "cutes". I would just send them to you, no strings attached if you just email me your snail mail addy. I got the cards in a huge lot with many duplicates and so can be generous with the stash. Interested? I sold a bunch on ebay, but am tired of selling and just want to find a good home for them. :)

P.S. It was your children's book illustrations that reminded me of the cards I have. I know you LOVE vintage cutes! :)

I was so glad to get to drop by and "see" you again. My computer has been broken and I was having withdrawl symptoms. I love all the vintage images you find and share with us.

There are so many great children's books available now, but I always feel a sentimental longing for the sweet innocence of the books from yesterday. What was your favorite childhood Little Golden Book?
