Beach Reads (without the beach)!!!!!!!

I think Mike and I might be the only two people who have a 4th of July tradition of going to the bookstore! Yesterday we were at it again. We went to Barnes & Noble and just browsed; taking down titles of books we might want to check out at the library (part of our new austerity program).

Today we had to go back to B&N for a birthday gift for a dear friend and I succumbed! I got the book above on the recommendation of Kim and the magazine below because it is just too much eye candy not to be able to drool over in the privacy of my own home!!!! So, life is good over here! Naps, reading, cats, etc.! Also, so far I am on page 32 of the book and love it!!!!

I didn't read this one, but I read her latest, Comfort Food, and I really enjoyed it. (Of course, I'm a foodie, so that helped!)

that book is on my list...hopefully I'll get to it before summer ends...as there seems to be so many books this summer that keep jumping into my hands. I try to shake them off, but NO....they just cling onto me for dear life until I cave and say,"FINE" yes, I'll read you too !

Yikes, it's been awhile since I've visited -- sorry. It's been not a good couple of weeks. I was looking at that book at the bookstore the other day when I was trying to decide what would go to the hospital with me for Greg's surgery. I finally decided it's on my "buy it later" list (since I had about six or seven books in the stack, but I'm glad to hear a first-hand review. With my passion for knitting, I knew I'd like the setting!

My mom gave me her copy of The Friday Night Knitting Club and I'm anxious to dive into it!

I've just posted a Beach/Pool reads list on my blog, if you're interested.
