Current Obsession

This is my current obsession. The movie "Across the Universe." We watched it last night and it was a total masterpiece. Thanks go to my friend Lorie who made sure I saw this great piece of art.
I think the Beatles were a force of genius. They rank equally with Mozart. Their songs are timeless and do not sound dated.
This movie is from the artist Julie Taymor. I don't know too much about her except that she is a choreographer. She seems to be a total genius.
Every minute of this movie is bursting with creative energy and art. I highly recommend it.
I really can't put into words how special this whole experience has been. Thank you to John, Paul, George, Ringo and now Julie Taymor. And Lorie!

Hey Jude! Listen to your ol' Aunt Lorie once in a while, eh.. Except for the transcription thing, I usually don't steer you too wrong.

Love, love, love that movie. There was definitely TOTAL genius involved. You should mandate that it be required watching for all blog visitors.

Naa,naa,naa,naa,naa,naa,naaaaa.....hey Jude.

I haven't seen this but heard tons of good things about it. I'll have to put it on my summer list -- Beatles (how can you go wrong) and summer -- a perfect match! I love Julie Taymor's work -- she directed, choreographed and designed The Lion King and if you haven't seen it, save up for the next time it comes to town. After you pick your chin up off the floor with the effects, you'll be amazed at one woman's vision.
