A few of us "invaded" Inspired Needle tonight. Well, four of us........as per usual we laughed, stitched very little, and mostly looked at fabric and fiber combos.
Toward the end of the evening we came up with a new obsession....what new project are you going to start on Thanksgiving!!!!!! Oh goody! Stitchy stuff to obsess about!
Karin is starting the fantastic Turkey Love as pictured above.
Barb was running around with Autumn - Sampler of the Season by With Thy Needle and Thread in her stitching bag. She just needed fibers and fabric. She is ready for her start on Thursday (or will it be Wednesday???) What a gorgeous piece this will be!
I have two choices of new.....above is the most fabulous Christmas Typography. What fun colors!
Jayne is going to stitch Jingle all the way starting on Thursday. I might start that one too!! Both Jayne and I kitted it up with the called for fabric (Swamp) and the silks, Mahogany and Icing.
Karin is doing it in Kudzu and with Sister Scarlett and Icing. You can see her start on the left and our fabric and threads on the right.
What new project will you start on Thanksgiving? I think we just made a new tradition of starting a new project on all holidays. Can't wait for Arbor Day!!!

Nice projects! What fun you ladies have together! I love that Jingle piece. Karin's version is just as nice as the model version. Love all the other choices as well. Thanksgiving start -- what fun!
I love the title of your post AND the idea about starting something new on every holiday! Hey, who needs to wait for January to be crazy??!!
I love reading your posts Laura. One of these days I'm going to join you at the Inspired Needle for some stashing and stitching fun...
As always gorgeous projects!!!! I am not sure I will have time to start a new project tomorrow, if I do it will be Margaret Cottom :-).
Ooooo--I didn't have advance notice of this, so I don't have a proper T-giving start. So I'll start Drawn Thread's Menagerie instead. We have to have new starts for Christmas and New Year too!
I think I have a pattern for Arbor Day!!! Great stuff, as always!!!

Hey...I'm a stitching nerd too. I wanna join! lol Looks like another fun day. And great projects to start too. Isn't Turkey Love just too fun?! And I like seeing the subtle difference between you and Karin's Jingle All the Way color scheme. Happy Thanksgiving!
Great post Laura. I love to see what you all are stashing and stitching:))

Lots of great choices for a Thanksgiving start!! I'm going to start part 1 of the Margaret Cottam sampler. Can't wait!
I always know I'm in for a treat when I see that you have a new post! Oh my gosh, the stitching pics. Ack! I want to tell my family to forage through the cabinets for their Thanksgiving meal, I have stitching to do instead! LOL Gorgeous stuff!

I had to giggle over "Arbor Day" you crack me up! Looks like a fun time. You gotta love fondling fabric and floss with friends. LOL!
