Crush

Here lies the history of my celebrity crushes.................first there was the trio of David Cassidy......
Donny Osmond........
and Bobby Sherman.............. I remember being in the car going somewhere with my Mom and Grandma and reading Tiger Beat magazine in the back seat!!! I wish I had an old back issue..that would be hilarious! Around that time I was also a faithful reader of Seventeen magazine and hoping against hope that I too could have some Bonnie Bell lipsmackers!!!! And even more hilarious....when I would go to the doctor and have to get a shot...I would repeat "Donny Osmond, Donny Osmond" in my head in an attempt to alleviate the pain of that needle prick.....

In high school most of my crushes were on real live guys, but I managed to have time to have a little obsession with Luke (Anthony Geary) of General Hospital fame...
Let's throw in a brief crush on Richard Gere.......
.......a more lengthy crush on Sylvester Stallone........especially from the first Rocky movie where he was so sweet to Adrianne.....

and the years passed and there was no real celebrity crush until......

........Jim of The Office! It the character of Jim and the looks of the actor John Krasinski that really make me swoon! Actually, as I reflect on this I really think this is why I am in love with my husband, he looks kind of like Jim and has that same sweetness about him.

What is your celebrity crush chronology?????????

I think I had the same first 3 you did! I forgot about Bobby Sherman until you mentioned him- I got one of his singles from the back of a Honey Comb cereal box (remember vinyl being printed on cardboard occasionally?) I also had a big crush on Parker Stevenson (of the Hardy Boys TV show) and Erik Estrada- HUGE. I was totally under his spell of Latin good looks! Then it was Sting when he fronted the Police and Harrison Ford when he Raided the Lost Ark (I think I dreamt he took me on one of his adventures). Oh my gosh! I don't think my husband even knows all of this! lol

P.S. Last night I journaled on your big head page in my art journal. Got me inspired to create more art (otherwise I have no new pages to write on!)

My very first celeb crush was on whomever played the lead role in Oliver! the movie back in 1970! I saw the movie for my golden (11) birthday with two girlfriends and for the first time I ever remember, could not get a boy out of my head! What a fun post.

This is great! Let's see -- I remember adoring Bobby Darin -- that was the first one I remember. And of course the Beatles -- but really, Paul. Who didn't back then? Although, George had a piece of my heart, too. I was (still am) a Richard Gere-girl, Robert Redford, and don't mock me -- Dick Cavett and Woody Allen. Oh, and a Brit named Robin Ellis who played Poldark. I even had my Prince Charles moments. And I still have my Larry Bird cereal boxes, photos, and newspaper clips. (Don't ask.) I loved "Seventeen" too!

Wow...I was feeling really old until I read Jeanie's comment. I must go visit her blog...someone my age. My first crush was probably Fabian. I did love Bobby Darin...but I adored Sandra Dee... so that all worked out. I was MADLY in love with Paul - as in the cute Beatle for you young ones. I loved Richard Long and Robert Redford. And I read movie magazines and Tiger Beat like crazy. I'm thankful we didn't have ET or People Magazine back then - I would've really been obsessed. I think I want to talk about this on my blog. Great topic!

Don't forget Andy Gibb!
Or was that just me? :)

Thanks for reminding me of Bobby Sherman. I had forgotten all about him.

Congratulation to being "free" again. Now you can enjoy the new Office this week with no worries.
