Paper Dolls

I have always loved paper dolls. One day while skipping around in blogland I came across this post on Creative Breathing (which is a blog that takes my breath away!!!!) and there was a link to this site.......Betsy McCall.
So, if you grew up in the 1950's, 1960's or 1970's I am sure you are familiar with Betsy. In each issue of McCall's magazine there was a page with Betsy and some clothing for you to play with.
I wish I had saved those, but now you can go to this site and print out the pages.
I am determined to use these totally lovely pages in card and tag making soon!
Aren't they just the cutest?????

Oh, Betsy McCall! I loved her! And I love paper dolls. I remember having a Barbie paper doll and she had 2 standard poodles and the folder that held all her clothes was her bedroom on the inside and her living room on the outside.

Thanks for bringing back such great memories of the late 50's and 60's for me!

I guess we didn't get McCall's magazine as I don't remember these dolls. I did have those "cling" dolls and would play with them for hours!

These are adorable and while I don't exactly remember em, I know that is what ME based her paper doll series (in her mag) on. Thanks for the link, yeah, fun tags and cards for sure! :D

Because of this post, I can still remember that I am a good designer to my paper dolls (way back when I am still a little child). I loved playing my paper dolls together with my sister. I missed those days :)

They are adorable. I never knew Betsy McCall, but I loved the Joan Walsh Aglund dolls in Good Housekeeping. Thanks for the links.
