Re-Reading, Vintage Pictures, and Frozen Yogurt

Interspersed throughout this entry are the pictures and postcards I bought at the Sandwich Antiques Market. None was more than three dollars. The above picture I will definitely use with that "Happy" stamp from Hero Arts. That stamp combined with a good picture just makes a really cool card, in my humble opinion.
Aren't these roses gorgeous? Wouldn't it be nice to have fresh flowers in your home at all times? My favorite flowers are tulips, roses, peonies, gladiolas, and pansies. FYI.
I love, love, love the above outfit. I would totally wear it right now if I had it! I think I would like to wear as I strolled through the streets of London or Paris!
Isn't the woman in this couple just completely beautiful????
I like the photo on this card alot, but I mainly bought it cause it says Cabinet Portrait! You know, cause it is a cabinet card! and this shows how they got their name!
This is a postcard of three generations! Isn't it totally unique??? I have never seen anything like it.

Not much is happening in this neck of the woods. I am having one of those "tired" weeks where I don't have much energy. Booooo!!! I am trying to finish up Audrey Hernandez' Alphabetica journal. I have the idea and the "ingredients," I just have to put everything together.

I just started reading the latest novel by Elizabeth Berg. She is such an amazing writer! If you have not read any of her books, you must!!! She really cuts to the heart of a matter!

After I finish reading that (which won't take long because her books are so readable!), I am thinking of re-reading one of my favorite books.....which one??? Hmmmmm...so many to choose from, but I think it will be A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving........

Hey, whoever is reading this....could you please entertain me and tell me which book you would choose to re-read???? Thanks!! I would really be interested to hear what books you all would pick!

Oh yeah, about that frozen yogurt, Mike agreed to bring home some frozen yogurt for me!!! I am really craving strawberry ice cream with hot fudge sauce, but frozen yogurt will be good too won't it?????

The book I would re-read would be The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straube. I cried when I read it the first time, I felt like those characters where people I knew, and I did not want the book to end. Lovin the photos and will use my Rubber Paper Sisters pass card to get my complimentary copies! Miss you much. Strawberry yogurt sucks, but if you must, yogurt is the way to go!

You Odd Bird You.

Gosh Laura I always love seeing your photos here. You find such good 'uns!

And I am always blown away at the prices you name ... Lucky girl. I am going shoppng with YOU one day.

Gosh you are a good girl to trade in STrawberry ice cream w/ hot fudge but yes ! The Frozen Yogurt is always yummy too.

Books to re read...Two of my favorites are by the same author. I think the first is out of print now...but maybe now they have it in paperback (check ebay if not) Vision of Light by Judith Merkle Riley and The Oracle Glass was also a good one she wrote . I have read both more than once !

Hope you get some energy flowing again. I know how that can be...Hang in there Arty Girl.

Laura....what great finds at the flea market. I know you will do great things to each of those and spruce them up in your wonderful vintage way.

As far as re-reading....one of my favorites by far would be "the secret life of bees"....that one still lingers in my mind from time to time. Another one would be "my sister's keeper" which is kinda funny since you mentioned Jodi Piccoult in your question to Lainie.

And now the yogurt part.... last night for our dessert I made chocolate chip cookies covered with scoops of vanilla bean ice cream and that was covered with fresh strawberries....a "to-die-for" dessert and perfect in this heat. But you my friend won in the low calorie category..LOL

OMG, I am SO jealous of all your finds! You always get the BEST STUFF!!! I swear, I'm coming out there and making you Mid-West girls take me to your secret treasure troves!
My re-read list is way to long to give here, but I have been thinking about re-reading Jane Eyre again when I get back from vaca. Somehow Jane just doesn't really GO with the beach, KWIM? HA!
