Totally Cool

Well you just know that I thought I was totally cool the other day when I was home and stamping. I was listening to a mix of the greatest voices! Our CD player holds five CDs and I often like to mix CDs that don't normally go together. Love to mix the classical with the rock with the old time country! Above is the new album by Renee Fleming, soprano extraordinairre........amazing voice!
Then Miss Patsy Cline was in the mix. Unbelievable. Distinctive. Strong.
Next we had Alanis Mirissette....great voice, great music, great energy. Jane introduced me to her just this year! I was out of it...way behind the times. So glad to know about this musician!
Also, for some reason about two years ago I become very interested in Loretta Lynn. Out of the blue. I remember buying this album for no particular reason, glad I did! I love her. Mike and I were lucky enough to see her sing live about a year ago. She is so sweet and cool! By the way, her latest album, Van Lear Rose, is a PERFECT ALBUM! Woooh, that thing is so great!
And lastly we have one of my all time favorite singers! Doris Day! When I was in college I had the album that is pictured on the right of this CD cover! I was a strange bird...I loved The Who, Joe Jackson, Elvis Costello, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, and Doris Day! Her voice is so silky smooth!

Music really soothes my soul!

You have introduced me to a wide variety of music as well. I go from The Cure, to Sarah Mclaughlin to Pink. Gotta love a mix!

Patsy Cline - what a voice - and what a loss. If you ever get a chance to see the show Always, Patsy Cline - see it, great insight into her life.
